Message: Are you objective? Image by Free-Photos from Pixabay

Are you objective with respect to the message of Gospel?  How does Jesus Christ fit in your life?

Hear the Apostle Peter address Jewish leaders and people telling them they were wrong and to repent and be converted. Click Here to open an MP3 in a separate window.

Bible Reading: Acts 4:8-12, 3:19 (printed below for your easy reference). Please follow closely the scriptures below as Mr Les Hills from Lismore explains the solemnity of going into eternity with wrong attitude of Christ.

4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
4:9 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out

HYMN

WHY wilt thou linger?  Why wilt thou die?
God’s wrath upon thee, judgment so nigh;
Now is salvation’s day,
Tread the blood-sprinkled way;
Sinner, no more delay, Jesus will come!

Soon will the Saviour close fast the door,
Tidings of mercy sound nevermore!
Time’s course will soon be run,
Stay then, thou Christless one,
Think of the great white throne,
Judgment will fall!

THOUGHT

When you calibrate your scales to zero, you are saying there is nothing on that scale. That’s what men do with the Lord Jesus Christ when they “set Him at nought” (v11). They are saying they don’t need him. He’s not in their calculations. They’ve not needed Him all their life. They may have set Him at nought, but God has made him the head of the corner. They will need Him when it’s too late. You do need Him before it’s too late.
